Lake Forest College men's tennis player Trevor Allen was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday after helping lead the Foresters to four league victories in the previous seven days.
Allen, a freshman, began the week by teaming with doubles partner Ellis Lora-Arceo on an 8-3 triumph at #2 doubles during the team's 9-0 victory over visiting Carroll University last Tuesday. Allen also prevailed 6-1, 6-2 at #2 singles.
The Foresters swept St. Norbert 9-0 and defeated Lawrence University 8-1 at home on Saturday. Allen and Lora-Arceo won 8-1 in their first #2 doubles match of the day and 8-3 in the second. Allen continued his success at #2 singles, taking both contests by the same 6-0, 6-1 score.
Finally, in a 9-0 victory over visiting Ripon College on Sunday, Allen and Lora-Arceo moved up a spot in the lineup but still came out on top of an 8-2 decision over the Red Hawks' top doubles team.
Allen's 7-0 week gave him a team-high 27 overall victories on the season. He leads the squad with 14 wins in doubles and is tied for the team lead with 13 singles triumphs.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information.
