Freshman Trevor Allen and senior John Snider were victorious in their first match together this spring but the Forester men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Oglethorpe University on Monday. The match was played at the Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando, Florida.
Allen and Snider defeated the Stormy Petrels' #2 doubles team 8-2 but the Foresters still trailed 2-1 going into singles play.
The first four singles matches to finish went to Oglethorpe. Lake Forest sophomore Nick Rehm then completed a 6-3, 6-2 triumph at #6 singles and junior Allis Lora-Arceo closed out the contest with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at #4.
The Foresters are now 3-4 overall this season wihle Oglethorpe, the 13th-ranked team in the Atlantic South Region, improved to 3-1.
Lake Forest will continue its Spring Break trip with a match against Wittenberg University Tuesday morning at 11:30 (EST).
