The Lake Forest College men's hockey team climbed into D3hockey.com's Top 15 this week, debuting in the poll at #14. The Foresters are 6-3-2 on the season under first-year head coach Patrick Kelliher.
The Foresters have posted a 2-2-2 record in the last month against teams ranked in the top 15 at the time of the game, beginning with a tie at top-ranked St. Norbert College on Saturday, November 15. The Green Knights are ranked #1 again this week and are 10-0-1 on the year.
Lake Forest also played to a tie on November 22 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, then the ninth-ranked team in the nation.
The Foresters swept the College of St. Scholastica at home last weekend, prevailing 1-0 Friday night and 3-1 on Saturday. St. Scholastica entered the series ranked 12th in the country.
With a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association record of 5-2-1, Lake Forest is now third in the league standings. The Foresters are among the others receiving votes in this week's USCHO.com poll.
