The Lake Forest College women's soccer team was defeated 1-0 at
Dominican University on Tuesday. The non-conference loss dropped
the Foresters' overall record to 8-6-0. The Stars are now
13-4-0.
Dominican out-shot the Foresters 7-5 during a scoreless first
half. Lake Forest had two of the period's three shots on goal.
The only goal of the game was scored by the home team in the
58th minute on a rebound. Both teams attempted seven shots and had
two saves in the second half.
Forester sophomore goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger made three saves
in the contest and lowered her goals against average on the season
to 1.58.
Lake Forest's final four games of the regular season will be
against Midwest Conference foes, beginning at Grinnell College
Saturday at 11:00 a.m. The Foresters will also host Beloit College
the following afternoon at 1:00.
