The Foresters women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at
Carthage College Thursday night. Lake Forest is now 7-4-0 this
season while the Lady Reds raised their record to 5-3-2.
Carthage scored the only goal of the first half just five
minutes and 10 seconds into the game. The home team went on to
out-shoot the Foresters 10-1 in th period.
The second half was more evenly-played, although the only goal
of the period was scored by the Lady Reds at the 65-minute mark.
Carthage had a 9-5 edge in shots.
Lake Forest sophomore goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger recorded eight
saves in the contest.
The Foresters will resume Midwest Conference play next Wednesday
when they host defending league champion Carroll University at 4:30
