The Lake Forest College women's soccer team fell 3-2 at North
Park University under the lights Tuesday night. The team's record
fell to 5-1-0 on the year. Freshman Courtney Garth scored the
Foresters' first goal, becoming the 12th player on the team with at
least one goal this year.
The only goal of the first half was scored by North Park at the
33-minute mark.
Lake Forest tied the score less than three minutes into the
second half on the first career goal by freshman Courtney Garth.
She was assisted by junior Erica May.
The Vikings, however, regained the lead at 53:39 and added an
insurance goal at 78:24.
Forester sophomore Becky Esrock pulled the visitors to within a
score when she scored on a free kick with 6:39 to play in the
contest. It was her fourth goal of the season.
Lake Forest will resume Midwest Conference play at Lawrence
University on Saturday. The game will begin at 1:30 p.m.
