The Forester women's soccer team was defeated 2-1 in a
non-conference game at North Central College Tuesday night. Lake
Forest freshman Suzana Milic became the team's 13th player to score
a goal this season.
The home team took the lead at the 30:45 mark and was still
ahead 1-0 at halftime. The Cardinals doubled their advantage with
18:13 remaining in the contest.
Milic netted her first career goal with 2:01 remaining on the
clock. Sophomore Becky Esrock assisted on the score to take the
team lead with 23 points on the season.
Neither team was able to attempt another shot and North Central
held on for the victory.
Lake Forest sophomore goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger finished the
contest with seven saves.
The Foresters will play another night game Thursday at Carthage
College. The non-conference match-up will begin at 7:00 p.m.
