Lake Forest College's John Casey and Andrew Eisenman were named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, on Monday for their performance in the Foresters' 19-0 victory over Beloit College on Saturday.
The scoring in the College's first varsity men's lacrosse game since 1994 began with a goal by Casey less than three minutes into the contest. The sophomore attacker added two more scores in the opening quarter, one in the second, and two in the third. He also picked up a couple of ground balls and assisted on a pair of goals in the game.
Eisenman, a freshman midfielder, helped limit the Buccaneers to just one shot attempt, caused five turnovers, and added four ground balls to his stat line on the afternoon.
MLC Players of the Week are selected by the league's head coaches.
