The Lake Forest College men's hockey team accounted for the game's first goal but four scores in the third period by visiting Milwaukee School of Engineering gave the Raiders a 6-1 victory Saturday night.
The Foresters' goal was the first of the season for junior forward Kyle Cote and came at the 6-minute mark of the opening period. Cote was assisted by a pair of sophomores, forward David COhen and defenseman Vaughan Bamford.
A Lake Forest penalty a minute later set up the first of four power play goals by the Raiders on the night. They added a shorthanded goal and closed out the contest with their only even strength score with less than three minutes to play.
The Foresters outshot their guests 12-7 in the game's first 20 minutes but MSOE had a 9-8 advantage in that category in the second stanza and an 18-6 edge in the third.
The loss dropped Lake Forest's record on the season to 0-3-0 while MSOE improved to 8-5-1 overall and 3-4-1 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play.
The Foresters will host Adrian College Tuesday afternoon at 3:30.
