Senior forward Cody Guidorzi scored the Foresters' lone goal on Saturday in a 5-1 loss at Adrian College in the semifinals of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup Playoffs.
Guidorzi's eighth goal of the year made the score 3-1 at the 7:40 mark of the second period. He was assisted by junior forward Austin Aksoy.
The Bulldogs, who are ranked 10th in the nation, netted three goals and outshot the Foresters 21-6 in the opening period. They had a 15-9 edge in that category in the second period and regained their three-goal lead at the 12:22 mark. An empty net tally with 2:08 to play in the contest closed out the scoring. Shots on goal in the final period were 9-8 in favor of the home team.
The Foresters finished the season 12-10-6 and Adrian will take a mark of 20-7-1 into the NCHA Harris Cup final at St. Norbert College next Saturday.
