The Lake Forest College men's hockey team was tied 3-3 at Milwaukee School of Engineering, the nation's 12th-ranked team, before surrendering six third period scores in a 9-3 loss. Forester freshman Jason McAloon recorded his second multi-goal game of the season.
McAloon's first score of the game was a power play goal at 4:30 in the second period. Junior thomas Bark and freshman Mcauley Banning assisted on the score that tied the game at one.
Bark then put the visitors on top with an unassisted power play score at 7:44. It was his second goal of the year.
M.S.O.E. pulled even at the 10:56 mark of the second period and took a 3-2 lead with 56 seconds on the clock.
McAloon's fifth goal of the season tied the game five minutes and 46 seconds into the third. Freshman Phillippe assisted on the score for his first career point.
The Raiders then rattled off six unanswered goals, including a pair of power play scores, in a 12-minute span of the third period to clinch the victory.
Lake Forest was out-shot 11-7 in the opening period but put 11 shots on goal to the Raiders' nine in the second. The home team took control in the third, out-shooting the Foresters 14-4.
M.S.O.E. raised its overall record on the season to 7-2-0 and Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association mark to 6-1-0. The Foresters fell to 1-8-0 overall and 1-6-0 in the league.
The same two teams will face off again in Lake Forest tomorrow night at 7:00.
