Lake Forest College senior Bobby Barrett signed with the Huntsville Havoc of the Southern Professional Hockey League shortly after the end of the Foresters' season and netted his first goal as a professional on March 15.
Barrett, a senior forward, scored his team's only goal in a 2-1 loss to the Knoxville Ice Bears. Less than a week later he assisted on a score in a 4-3 loss to the Fayetteville FireAntz. He has now played in 10 games and the Havoc have three more contests remaining this year.
With 23 points on 11 goals and a dozen assists for Lake Forest this winter, Barrett finished his collegiate career with 77 points on 37 goals and 40 assists. He was voted the Foresters' Most Valuable Player in 2013-14 after leading the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association in goals scored during league play and was named to the All-NCHA and NCHA All-Academic Teams after the season.
