Lake Forest College men's hockey player Billy Kent was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. Kent helped lead the Foresters to a 5-3 victory over Hamilton College on Sunday.
Kent scored to give Lake Forest the lead twice in the third period of the team's triumph in the semifinals of the 50th Annual Codfish Bowl at the University of Massachusetts-Boston. His first goal of the game made the score 3-2 less than two minutes into the period and his second put the Foresters on top 4-3 with 4:18 on the clock. It was his first career game-winning goal.
The Foresters skated to a 1-1 tie with Connecticut College on Monday's Codfish Bowl Championship game, although the Camels won the ensuing shootout to claim the title.
Kent now has four goals and a team-best +7 plus/minus rating on the season.
NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's directors of sports information and public relations.
