Lake Forest College golfer Jacob Krugman was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday for his performance at Saturday's Wisconsin Lutheran College Spring Invitational.
Krugman, a freshman, finished the 6,875-yard course in an even-par 72 strokes to take medalist honors by just one shot. He had five birdies in his round and had a 2-under 34 on the final nine holes.
The 72 was Krugman's best score since carding a 69 in his collegiate debut in early September. It was his seventh consecutive round in the 70s.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Krugman also earned the award on March 21 and April 4.
