The Lake Forest College women's soccer team blanked host Knox College 3-0 on Saturday. Forester freshman Megan O'Connor assisted on the first goal of the game and scored the third.
O'Connor set up sophomore Courtenay Raymond's team-high sixth goal of the season at 25:57. It turned out to be the only goal of the first half.
Lake Forest had a 15-4 edge in shots in the opening period and forced Knox goalkeepers to make 13 saves in the game's first 45 minutes.
Forester freshman Emily Keast scored her third goal of the season two minutes and 19 seconds into the second half, giving the visitors a 2-0 lead.
O'Connor scored for the fifth time this year just 65 seconds later.
Lake Forest out-shot the Prairie Fire 15-3 in the second half.
Forester junior goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger recorded five saves in her second shutout of the season and the 10th of her career.
The Foresters are now 7-10-0 overall and 3-5 in Midwest Conference play this season. Knox fell to 3-12-1 overall and 1-6-1 in the league.
Lake Forest will close out the season against Carroll University tomorrow at noon.
