The Forester women's soccer team was defeated 1-0 by visiting St. Norbert College on Sunday. Lake Forest wore jerseys with pink numerals as part of the Athletic Department's Playing for a Cure initiative.
St. Norbert scored the only goal of the contest mid-way through the first half.
The Green Knights out-shot the Foresters 7-2 in the opening period and 5-4 in the second. Both teams had three corner kick opportunities.
Lake Forest junior goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger made three saves in the game and lowered her goals against average on the year to 1.51.
The Foresters fell to 6-7-0 overall this season and 2-3-0 in Midwest Conference play. St. Norbert is now 7-6-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the league.
Lake Forest will host Edgewood College in a non-conference game Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
