The Lake Forest College women's soccer team fell 2-0 at Lawrence University on Sunday and dropped out of contention for the four-team Midwest Conference Tournament.
The Foresters are now 6-10-0 overall this season and 2-5-0 in league play. The team had advanced to the conference tourney each of the last eight seasons.
A day after making a career-high 13 saves at Ripon College, Lake Forest junior goalkeeper Bri Schleibinger stopped a dozen shots on goal from the Vikings.
Lawrence got on the scoreboard less than eight minutes into the contest and netted a second goal at 32:07.
The Vikings out-shot the Foresters 17-2 in the game's first 45 minutes and 24-8 in the game. Lake Forest had a 5-4 edge in corner kick opportunities in the contest.
Lawrence is now 6-10-1 overall and 4-3-1 in league games.
The Foresters will play at Knox College Saturday afternoon at 1:00 before closing out the season against Carroll University at noon on Sunday.
