Most Valuable, Most Improved Announced for Spring SportsMay 14, 2012The Lake Forest College spring sports announced their end-of-season awards on Monday. Sophomore Ryan Kreis repeated as the men's tennis team's Most Valuable Player and classmate Judy Gilbert received the same award in softball.

Foresters' Season Ends at Midwest Conference TournamentMay 05, 2012The Lake Forest College softball team saw its 2012 season come to an abrupt end at the Midwest Conference Tournament on Sunday. The Foresters were defeated 4-2 by Carroll University and 8-4 by Monmouth College in the double-elimination event.

Midwest Conference Championship Tournament Continues on SundayMay 04, 2012St. Norbert College won a pair of Midwest Conference Championship Tournament games on Saturday. Monmouth College and Carroll University were 1-1 on the day and will play an elimination game Sunday morning at 10:00. The winner will need to defeat St. Norbert at noon and again at 2:00 to claim the league title.

Lake Forest Sweeps Illinois College, Will Host Conference TournamentMay 03, 2012The Lake Forest College softball team defeated Illinois College 2-1 and 15-9 on Thursday. Junior pitcher Kelly Chesnut struck out nine batters in the opener, which clinched the Foresters' spot atop the Midwest Conference South Division standings as well as their right to host this weekend's MWC Championship Tournament.

Foresters Fall to Monmouth, MWC Standings TightenMay 02, 2012The Lake Forest College softball team suffered it first Midwest Conference loss of the season Wednesday night, a 9-4 decision against Monmouth College. The game was played at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.

Foresters Win at Monmouth in Only Game of the WeekendApril 29, 2012The Lake Forest College softball team defeated host Monmouth College 9-7 on Sunday in the opener of a scheduled doubleheader. Game two was postponed by rain. Forester sophomore center fielder Nora Logue had a two-run double in the first inning and belted a tie-breaking home run in the seventh.

Late Rallies Doom Foresters against North CentralApril 26, 2012The Lake Forest College softball team was defeated 4-2 and 11-7 by visiting North Central College on Thursday. Junior Aubrey Pendegraft's three-run home run gave the home team a 7-6 lead in game two but the Cardinals rallied for five runs in the final inning.

Forester senior Leslie Harshey had a walk-off single in the opener and sophomore shortstop Sam Ritsema ended game two with her second home run of the contest.
