The Lake Forest College men's soccer team blanked host Cornell College 4-0 on Sunday. Senior forward Dylan Hartman scored one of the goals and assisted on the other three.
Hartman set up freshman forward Gaston Aubert's first career goal at the 14:28 mark. Since Cornell was held without a goal, Aubert became the sixth Forester with a game-winner this year.
Lake Forest out-shot the Rams 15-1 in the opening period but still led by just a goal at halftime.
Hartman doubled the visitors' lead at the 55:05 mark with sophomore defender Elyas Ingram earned the assist on his throw-in. It was Hartman's fourth goal the year.
Freshman midfielder Sal Gloria scored his first career goal just 66 seconds later and added another at 66:59. Hatman assisted on both scores and now leads the team with 13 points this season.
Lake Forest had 15 more shot attempts to Cornell's four in the second half.
Four of the Rams' five shots in the game were on goal but saves by Forester freshman goalkeeper Elvin Husetovic, who improved to 5-3-0 with a 1.42 goals against average this year.
The Foresters are now 8-3-0 overall and 3-1-0 in Midwest Conference play. Cornell fell to 2-9-0 overall and 0-4-0 in the league.
Lake Forest will play its final non-conference game of the regular season Friday at Illinois Institute of Technology. The contest will begin at 7:30 p.m.
