The Lake Forest men's soccer team dropped its match against Beloit College on Tuesday evening. The Foresters were bested by the Buccaneers 2-1.
The lone Forester goal was scored by Elliot Hull on a penalty kick at the 22:28 mark. The goal was Hull's second of the season.
Lake Forest held Beloit scoreless for the first 45 minutes of play. The Buccaneers scored two goals in the second half, and the Foresters were unable to even the score or retake the lead before time ran out, despite putting up a strong offense. They out-shot Beloit 19-10, with 11 of their shots on goal. Lake Forest also attempted seven corner kicks and conceded just one.
Lake Forest now carries a 3-7-2 record overall and a 2-1-1 record in conference play. Beloit's record improves to 2-7-1 and 1-1-1.
The Foresters travel to Illinois College on Saturday, October 8. Kickoff is at 11 a.m.
