The 2014-15 All-Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Teams were announced on Thursday and Lake Forest College's Jim Schick was a Second Team selection.
Schick, a sophomore forward, leads the MWC and ranks 40th in the nation with 9.4 rebounds per game, 1.7 more than any other player in the league. His 4.2 defensive rebounds per contest are easily the most in the conference and rank fourth in the country. Schick is also ninth in the MWC in scoring with a team-high 14.7 points per game, 12th in the league with a .756 free throw percentage, and 15th with a .512 field goal percentage.
Schick scored at least 10 points in all but three of the Foresters' 22 games and led the conference with nine double-doubles, which were all recorded during league play. He also tied for third on the team with 40 assists on the year and nearly recorded the second triple-double in program history against Grinnell College on February 14, finishing with 12 points, a career-high 19 rebounds, and seven assists. His season-high for points was 27 and occurred just a week earlier against Knox College.
The Foresters finished the season with a 10-12 overall record and placed fifth in the MWC standings with a league mark of 9-9.
