    The Lake Forest College women's hockey team was defeated 4-1 by host University of Wisconsin-River Falls Saturday in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. Sophomore defenseman Alex Stensland scored her third goal of the season for the Foresters.

Forester Michelle Greeneway was named NCHA Player of the Year and Carisa Zaban the league's Co-Coach of the Year. Lake Forest's Morgan Pope and Alex Stensland joined Greeneway on the all-conference team.

    The Forester women's hockey team's victory at Marian University on February 22 secured the second regular season conference championship in team history. Lake Forest also earned the right to host the final two rounds of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Slaats Cup Tournament March 7-8. After last weekend's quarterfinal games, Friday's semifinal match-ups are set.

    The Lake Forest College women's hockey team, ranked 10th in the nation by D3hockey.com, held on for a 3-2 victory at Marian University on Saturday to claim at least a share of the 2014 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association championship. A loss by the College of St. Scholastica at St. Norbert College later in the afternoon clinched the Foresters' second outright title in team history.

Junior forward Marissa Weber scored to give the visitors a 1-0 lead early in the second period but the sixth-ranked team in the nation netted seven goals in the game's final 26 minutes.
