Foresters Blank Superior to Even Series before Falling in Mini-GameFebruary 26, 2011The Lake Forest College women's hockey team won 1-0 at the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Saturday to even their NCHA quarterfinal series at one game apiece. Superior took the series by winning the 20-minute mini-game 1-0. Senior Lynn Switaj scored the Foresters' only goal of the day, her team-high 10th of the season.

Junior Molly Wallner assisted on the Foresters' first goal and scored what turned out to be the official game-winner.

Lake Forest Wins 6-0 at FinlandiaFebruary 19, 2011The Forester women's hockey team defeated host Finlandia University 6-0 on Saturday, raising its overall record to 12-8-3 and evening its Northern Collegiate Hockey Association mark at 8-8-3. When senior Lynn Switaj assisted junior Kim Herring on the game's final goal, both players moved into a tie with 2008 graduate Laura Wilson for second place in program history with 79 career points.

It was the first career shutout for Lake Forest freshman goaltender Stacey Dierking.

Forester junior Kim Herring, an All-American last year, scored a pair of goals in her 2010-11 season debut.
