Foresters Picked to Finish Fourth in MWC Preseason Coaches Poll
Posted: Nov 04, 2015
The Midwest Conference released its 2015-16 Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll on Wednesday and Lake Forest College was picked to finish fourth. The Foresters finished last season tied for fourth place with a league record of 11-7.
Voting is done by the MWC head women's basketball coaches. Each coach votes for the ten other schools in the conference in order of predicted finish. Points are assigned in reverse order of voting (ten points for first, nine for second, etc.). Coaches may not vote for their own teams.
Lake Forest is once again led by head coach Tamlyn Tills, who enters her eighth season with an overall record of 83-80 and a league mark of 70-52. The team also returns Second Team All-MWC guard Michelle Ricolcol, who averaged 9.3 points per game in 2014-15.
The Foresters will open the regular season on Saturday, November 14, at the University of Chicago. The team's home opener and first conference game will be played a week later against Cornell College.
