The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) have announced that the Lake Forest College men's and women's swimming and diving teams have earned Scholar All-America honors for their efforts in the classroom last semester. The teams earned the honor after posting GPAs of 3.45 and 3.62, respectively.
Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director highlighted Lake Forest's achievements noting, "Coach Tashlitsky demonstrates that a team can be successful in the pool AND the classroom. These 40 men and women are some of the best ambassadors that Lake Forest and the Midwest Conference could ask for."
In total, 728 teams from 450 institutions earned the honor. CSCAA will name its individual Scholar All-America team next week.
Lake Forest's men's team has earned the award for the last 12 semesters. The Forester women's team claimed the Scholar All-America status for 20 out of the last 21 semesters.
Both teams are coached by Vadim Tashlitsky '00 and Amy Finn '12.
