Foresters Finish 2010 with 1-0 Victory over Monmouth

The Lake Forest College men's soccer team won 1-0 against visiting Monmouth College on Sunday to finish the season 12-6-0 overall and 5-4-0 in the Midwest Conference. Forester junior Stephen Egan scored the game's lone goal with 15:28 remaining in the contest.
The Foresters out-shot the Fighting Scots 11-1 in the first half and 16-9 in the game.
Egan netted the only goal of the game from the left side of the field after taking a cross from fellow junior Jerrold Rosema. It was his second score in as many days and fourth this season.
Lake Forest senior goalkeeper Tom Biesiada earned the shutout, his third of the season and the ninth of his career. He finished 2010 with a 10-4-0 record and 1.22 goals against average.
Sophomore Mahir Mameledzija led the Foresters with 13 goals, six assists, and 32 points this season.
It was Lake Forest's Senior Day and the final career game for Biesiada and classmates Jacob Heaps and Will Press.
