The Lake Forest College men's soccer team was defeated 1-0 at
Lawrence University on Saturday. The Foresters fell to 2-3-0
overall this season and 1-2-0 in Midwest Conference play. The team
was also defeated 1-0 last Saturday.
The only goal of the game was score in the 27th minute.
Lake Forest outshot the home team 7-2 in the opening half and
10-5 in the contest, marking the fifth time in as many contests
that the Foresters attempted more shots than their opponents.
Forester senior goalkeeper Tom Biesiada
recorded a pair of saves in the contest and slightly lowered his
goals against average to 1.15.
Lake Forest will host a non-conference game against Benedictine
University Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. The Foresters will then resume
league play at St. Norbert College next Saturday afternoon at
3:30.
