February 27, 2010The Lake Forest College men's basketball team was defeated 85-81 by Carroll University Friday afternoon (February 26) in the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Tournament. The Foresters finish the season with a 14-10 overall record while the 16-8 Pioneers advance to the Saturday's final against either Ripon College or league champion and tournament host St. Norbert College.

Lake Forest Defeats Illinois College for Eighth Straight Victory
February 20, 2010The Forester men's basketball team hosted and defeated Illinois College 88-74 on Saturday (February 20) to finish the regular season with a 14-9 overall record and 12-4 mark in Midwest Conference play. It was Lake Forest's eighth consecutive victory, the team's longest winning streak closing out 1999-2000 with 11 in a row. The Blueboys fell to 12-11 overall and 8-8 in the league.

Lake Forest is now 12-9 overall on the season and tied for second in the league standings with a 10-4 mark in conference play. The Prairie Fire fell to 2-19 overall and 2-12 in the MWC.
