The Foresters defeated Cornell College 9-1 in six innings on Saturday to clinch the right to host the 2014 MWC Championship Tournament. McTague scattered seven base hits while striking out six and walking two in the game.
Finally, in a 21-0 five-inning blanking of Grinnell on Sunday, McTague matched her career-high with 11 strikeouts and did not walk a batter in a one-hit shutout. She also belted a pair of home runs and drove in six in the contest.
