Lake Forest College softball player Sally Snarski was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Monday after helping lead the Foresters to a 6-4 record at the Dot Richardson Spring Games in Clermont, Florida, last week.
Snarski, a sophomore infielder, belted five home runs and had 14 runs batted in during her first 10 games as a Forester. She batted .375 and posted a .906 slugging percentage on the trip. Her first home run of the year occurred during the team's 21-0 victory over Lancaster Bible College on Tuesday. She cleared the fence twice on Friday, once with a runner on base in a 7-1 win over Lakeland College and later to give the Foresters a 6-5 walk-off triumph over the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
She is the first player in program history to hit five home runs during the Foresters' Spring Break.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information director.
