    The Midwest Conference announced its Academic All-MWC honorees for the fall of 2010 on Thursday. Lake Forest College had 42 student-athletes earn the honor, the most in any season in school history.

    The Lake Forest College women's tennis team settled for a runner-up finish at Friday's Midwest Conference Team Championship Tournament. A victory by junior Nonie Carson at #2 singles completed a 5-1 Forester victory over Lawrence University in the semifinals. Carson then teamed with sophomore Melika Celebic for a #1 doubles win in a 5-2 loss to Grinnell College in the championship match.

    The Lake Forest College women's tennis team will face Lawrence University in the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Championship Tournament Friday morning. The winner will face either Grinnell College or St. Norbert College that afternoon in the championship match. All 10 teams in the league will compete in doubles tournaments on Saturday and singles competition on Sunday.

    Forester head men's and women's tennis coach Chris Kane officially announced Wednesday (June 23) that he will not return for a ninth year at Lake Forest College. Kane accepted an offer to be the head men's and women's tennis coach at NCAA Division I Western Illinois University. A search for his replacement will begin immediately.
