Ali Graham Named MWLC Defensive Player of the Week

Lake Forest College's Ali Graham was named Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for her performance in a pair of games last week.

The Foresters were defeated 16-7 by Carthage College at home on Wednesday, despite Graham leading all players in the game with seven caused turnovers and five ground balls. The junior midfielder also recorded a pair of draw controls and made an impact at the offensive end of the field with four goals and an assist.

Lake Forest began MWLC play with a 23-6 victory over visiting Wartburg College on Sunday. Graham was once again a force at both ends of the field, causing six turnovers, picking up five ground balls, registering three draw controls, and racking up four points on two goals and two assists.

Graham is tied for the league lead with 25 caused turnovers in eight games this season. She also leads the Foresters with 27 points (17 goals, 10 assists) and ranks second on the squad with 21 ground balls and 25 draw controls.

MWLC Players of the Week are selected by the league's head coaches.
