The Forester women's hockey team was defeated 4-1 by Concordia College-Moorhead Saturday afternoon at the Dakotah! Sports Center in Prior Lake, Minnesota. Senior Kim Herring scored Lake Forest's only goal and is now just one shy of the program's career record of 97 points.
Herring scored the game's final goal at 8:25 in the third period and was assisted by junior Jenn Caldwell. Herring already owns the Foresters' career record for goals, which now stands at 59. Her 37 career assists are tied for sixth and she trails only Courtney DeHoey in points.
Concordia-Moorhead scored at 8:29 and 16:20 in the first period, 1:05 in the second, and 1:25 in the third.
Lake Forest fell to 6-4-1 on the season while the Cobbers, who are listed among the others receiving votes in this week's USCHO top 10 poll, raised their record to 4-1-1.
The Foresters will play their next five games at home, beginning next Friday night against Finlandia University. That game iwll begin at 7:00 and the teams will face off again the following afternoon at 2:00.
