Molly Wallner Selected as Foresters' Most Valuable PlayerMarch 25, 2012The Lake Forest College Athletic Department held its annual Winter Sports Awards Ceremony on Sunday, March 25, at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Forest. Among the many awards given out were plaques for each sport's Most Valuable and Most Improved Performers. Senior defenseman Molly Wallner earned Most Valuable Player honors and freshman defenseman Erin Shamley was named the Most Improved Player of the Forester women's hockey team.

Foresters Defeated in NCHA O'Brien Cup SemifinalsMarch 02, 2012The Lake Forest College women's hockey team fell 4-0 at UW-River Falls, the nation's seventh-ranked team, in the semifinals of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association O'Brien Cup Tournament Friday night. The Foresters finish the season with an overall record of 15-10-2.

Trebilcock and Herring Named to NCHA All-Academic TeamFebruary 29, 2012The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association announced the 2011-12 NCHA All-Academic Team on Wednesday. Forester senior Mira Trebilcock made the list for the second year in a row and classmate Kim Herring earned the honor for the first time.

Victory over St. Scholastica Sends Foresters to NCHA O'Brien Cup TournamentFebruary 26, 2012The Lake Forest College women's hockey team defeated visiting College of St. Scholastica 3-1 on Sunday to win their NCHA Quarterfinal series two games to none. Sophomore goaltender Stacey Dierking stopped 30 of 31 shots on goal in the victory, which sends the Foresters to next weekend's O'Brien Cup Tournament at UW-River Falls.

Foresters Defeat St. Scholastica, Take Lead in NCHA Quarterfinal SeriesFebruary 25, 2012The Lake Forest College women's hockey team hosted and defeated College of St. Scholastica 4-2 Saturday evening in the opener of their Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Quarterfinal series. Forester freshman Emily Wybo assisted on the contest's first goal and scored the official game-winner.

Angie Chronis Named All-NCHA, Jenna Brankin to All-Rookie TeamFebruary 23, 2012The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association released its 2011-12 All-NCHA Team on Thursday and Lake Forest College's Angie Chronis was on the list. In addition, fellow Forester Jenna Brankin was selected to the league's All-Rookie Team.

Foresters Defeated in OT at Adrian, Finish Fourth in NCHA StandingsFebruary 18, 2012The Lake Forest College women's hockey team dropped a 3-2 decision in overtime at Adrian College on Saturday. Sophomore Stephanie Slinde assisted on the Foresters' first goal and then scored the second.

Despite Falling at Adrian, Lake Forest Clinches Home Ice for NCHA QuarterfinalsFebruary 17, 2012The Forester women's hockey team was defeated 3-1 at Adrian College Friday night. Thanks to a College of St. Scholastica loss at UW-Superior, Lake Forest clinched at least fourth place in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association standings and will play at home in next weekend's NCHA Quarterfinals.

Foresters Come Back to Defeat Stevens Point in OvertimeFebruary 12, 2012After falling behind 3-0 in the first period, the Lake Forest College women's hockey team defeated visiting UW-Stevens Point 4-3 in overtime on Sunday. Freshman Marissa Weber tied the game late in the third period and netted the game-winner with 1:52 to play in overtime.
