Freshman Chloe Morrissey broke her own school record with a round of 71 as the Lake Forest College women's golf team won Sunday's Edgewood College Triangular for its second triumph of the weekend.

Morrissey recorded five birdies and nine pars to win by nine shots on the par-72 Odana Hills Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin. She became the first player in program history to post a round under par and the 71 was one stroke better than the previous team record she set at the Marian Invite on April 10. With a scoring average of 81.50 on the season, she is on pace to break the school record in that category by nearly two shots per round.

Lake Forest senior Amanda Lee and freshman Makayla Sanchez placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 14-player field on Sunday. Lee fired an 88 and Sanchez a 92 on the day. Junior Grace Black was the Foresters' fourth scorer with a round of 100 that included a birdie on the 151-yard par-3 seventh hole.

The Foresters' score of 351 was 26 strokes ahead of runner-up Wisconsin Lutheran College while Edgewood was third at 384.

It was the final tune-up for Lake Forest ahead of next weekend's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, which will be played at The Links in Jacksonville, Illinois, on Saturday and Sunday.
