The Forester women's golf team finished first by 36 strokes at Saturday's Wisconsin Lutheran College Triangular. The event was held on the 5,897-yard par-71 course at New Berlin Hills Golf Course.
Lake Forest had the top two players at the event in senior Amanda Lee and freshman Chloe Morrissey. Lee led the way with an 83 which featured back-to-back birdies on the 11th and 12th holes. Morrissey was one stroke behind Lee and needed just four shots at the 482-yard par-5 13th.
Forester Junior Grace Black turned in her best round of the season by seven strokes with a 97, tying with freshman Makayla Sanchez for sixth place in the 18-player field.
Lake Forest posted a team score of 361 while Edgewood was second at 397 and Wisconsin Lutheran third at 402.
The same three teams will compete in another triangular on Sunday at Odana Hills Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin. The event will be hosted by Edgewood College.
