The Lake Forest College men's soccer team was defeated 1-0 by visiting North Central College on Saturday.
After the start of the game was delayed by more than 30 minutes due to lightning in the area, the Foresters doubled up the Cardinals 10-5 in shots during a scoreless first half.
The home team also had a 9-8 advantage in shot attempts after halftime but North Central netted the only goal of the rainy afternoon with 19:09 on the clock.
The loss dropped the Foresters' record on the season to 2-4-1 while North Central improved to 4-3-1.
Lake Forest will host Wheaton College Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 before beginning Midwest Conference play next weekend.
