Jan Roessler Named MWC Defensive Performer of the Week

Lake Forest College men's soccer player Jan Roessler was named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week on Monday after posting a pair of shutouts over the weekend.
Roessler made a pair of saves in the first half and three in the second against visiting Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday to record the first shutout of his career. He also defended 10 corner kick opportunities in the contest.
The Foresters traveled to Concordia University Chicago on Sunday and blanked the home team 3-0. Roessler once again recorded two saves in the game's first 45 minutes before stopping all four of the Cougars' shots on goal after halftime.
Roessler is now 2-0-1 with a 0.60 goals against average and .882 save percentage on the season.
