Lake Forest College men's soccer player Lucas Geib was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday after registering a hat trick in Saturday's 6-1 victory at Lawrence University.
Geib's three goals came during a span of less than 17 minutes in the second half of the contest. The senior forward is now tied for the team lead and ranks fifth in the conference with 11 scores on the season, including eight in his last six games.
The second career hat trick for Geib gave him 36 goals in four seasons as a Forester. He ranks tied-for-fourth in team history in that category and his 85 points are the program's eighth-highest total.
Lake Forest finished the regular season with an overall record of 10-7-1 with victories in eight of nine league contests. The Foresters will take on St. Norbert College in the semifinals of the MWC Tournament on Friday with the final scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league office. Geib also earned the award once as a freshman and once as a junior.
