Lake Forest Finishes Seventh at First Conference Tournament in 52 Years
May 02, 2015The Forester men's golf team placed seventh at the three-day Midwest Conference Tournament, which concluded on Saturday. Senior Luke Swardenski shot a 78 on Saturday for Lake Forest's best individual round of the tournament.

April 26, 2015The Forester men's golf team placed eighth at the two-day St. Norbert Invitational over the weekend. Freshman Durham Ghelfi led Lake Forest with a round of 82 on Sunday and he tied for 33rd place overall in the tournament.

April 19, 2015The Forester men's golf team posted a seventh-place finish at the 2015 Midwest Conference Preview Meet on Sunday. Freshman Davis DeKorte was Lake Forest's top player with a score of 83.

April 18, 2015The Forester men's golf team placed third at Saturday's Lawrence University Viking Invitational. Freshman Christopher Rockers led Lake Forest with an 81 on the par-73 course at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Greenville, Wisconsin.

Lake Forest Hosts First Golf Tournament in More than Four Decades
April 12, 2015The Forester Spring Invite was played at White Deer Run Golf Club in Vernon Hills, Illinois, on Sunday and the hosts' red team placed eighth while the black team was 10th. Senior Davis Grannis was one of two Foresters with three birdies on the day.

Foresters Finally Start 2015 at Wisconsin Lutheran Spring Invitational
April 11, 2015The Lake Forest College men's golf team played its first event of the second semester on Saturday at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Spring Invitational. The Foresters tied for 11th place at the tournament and were led by freshman Christopher Rockers, who carded a season-best score of 77.

Legendary Coach Dick Triptow Passes Away at Age 92
February 26, 2015Dick Triptow, who coached four different sports during his 14 years as a member of the Lake Forest College Athletic Department, passed away over the weekend in Lake Forest after a brief battle with pneumonia. He was 92 years old.

October 09, 2014The Lake Forest College men's golf team closed out the fall semester by placing fourth out of eight teams at the Elmhurst College Invitational on Thursday. Freshman Durham Ghelfi led the Foresters with a season-best round of 78.

September 30, 2014The Forester men's golf team finished play at the 2014 NCAA Division III Midwest Region Classic on Tuesday. Lake Forest placed 23rd at the two-day event and freshman Davis Dekorte posted the team's best round of the year.

September 15, 2014The Forester men's golf team improved 38 shots from Sunday's performance and placed 13th at Wisconsin Lutheran College's WLC Fall Invitational on Monday. Senior Luke Swardenski carded a 77 in round two, a dozen shots better than his score on Sunday.

September 06, 2014The Lake Forest College men's golf team began its first season in 44 years by placing 13th at Carthage College's Tim Kopka Memorial Invitational over the weekend. The Foresters' score of 326 on Saturday was 12 strokes better than Friday's total and moved them up a spot in the standings.

Forester Men's Golf Returns in September
August 01, 2014After more than 44 years, Forester varsity men's golf is back and the team will begin the 2014-15 season at Carthage College's Tim Kopka Memorial Invitational September 5-6. Lake Forest will compete in four tournaments this fall in the non-traditional portion of the schedule.

Lake Forest College to Bring Back Varsity Golf
August 29, 2013Lake Forest College Director of Athletics Jackie Slaats announced Thursday that men's and women's golf will become the College's 18th and 19th varsity sports in 2014-15. Lake Forest last fielded a varsity men's golf team in 1970.
