Dean Storkan is in his 12th season on the Lake Forest College coaching staff in 2022 and 11th as a defensive assistant.
The Foresters posted an 8-1 record in Midwest Conference play in 2022, claiming a share of the league title and advancing to the NCAA Division III Playoffs for the second straight season. They allowed just 11.6 points and a school record 209.7 yards per game and ranked among the top 20 in the nation in numerous statistical categories.
Seven members of the Lake Forest defense were named All-MWC in 2022, giving the program 45 all-conference awards in Storkan’s time as a defensive assistant.
The Foresters have won at least eight games six times during Storkan’s 12 years as an assistant coach and posted an overall record of 78-38 and league mark of 58-20 during that span.
Storkan was no stranger to Forester Football when he joined the staff. His son Rick graduated from the College in 2010 after a four-year career as a fullback and defensive lineman.
Storkan is a graduate of Santa Clara University and the University of Michigan Law School. The President of TriCal, Inc., is married to Joanne and resides in Pebble Beach, California.
