Pat Pistorio

Pat Pistorio

Pat Pistorio returned to Lake Forest College in 2021 as the team's passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach and is now in his fifth year with the program overall.

The Foresters posted a perfect 9-0 Midwest Conference record in 2021, advanced to the NCAA Division III Playoffs for the first time in nearly two decades, and finished 10-1 overall. Quarterback Tre Stewart was a First Team All-MWC selection and also earned MWC Newcomer of the Year honors. Stewart set a program record with a pass efficiency rating of 159.9. while his 22 touchdown passes and league-best 62.7 completion percentage rank among the top four single-season marks in school history. He was also second on the team with 405 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.

Pistorio was the Foresters' wide receivers coach for three seasons from 2007 through 2009. Lake Forest wideouts earned eight All-Midwest Conference selections, including three First Team All-MWC distinctions, during that span. Dan Carter (2006-09) became the program's career leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown catches with Pistorio as his position coach.

After his first stint at the College, Pistorio served as the offensive coordinator at Harper College for three seasons (2010-12) and the head coach at South Elgin High School for five years (2013-17) and Niles North High School for two (2018-19). He led Sough Elgin to a pair of conference titles and three appearances in the state playoffs.

Pistorio's coaching experience includes eight years (2006-13) as an assistant for the Chicago Slaughter, where he coordinated the offense and directed the team's wide receivers. The 2009 Slaughter posted a 14-0 record and captured the Continental Indoor Football League Championship.

Prior to working at the high school level, Pistorio spent four years as a student assistant at Southern Illinois University.

During his playing days Pistorio captained the football, wrestling, and baseball teams at Larkin High School. He graduated from Southern Illinois in 2002 and added master's degrees from the University of Phoenix in 2005 and Concordia University Chicago in 2013.

Pistorio and his wife Christine have four daughters: Mia, Gianna, Elianna, and Meilani.
