Connor Baroniunas

Connor Baroniunas

Connor Baroniunas joined the Forester staff as offensive line coach in 2022.

Lake Forest posted an 8-1 record in Midwest Conference play in 2022, claiming a share of the league title and advancing to the NCAA Division III Playoffs. The Foresters rushed for 185 yards per game and 30 touchdowns while allowing just 16 sacks. Tackle Ian Ramey was a First Team All-Midwest Conference selection while guard Braxton Matteson and center Andres Mestre earned Second Team All-MWC honors. Nine different offensive linemen on the team started at least one game during the season.

Baroniunas spent the previous two years as a graduate assistant at Wingate University, his alma mater, and served as the Bulldogs' assistant offensive line coach and assistant video coordinator. He also had recruiting and numerous other responsibilities within the program.

A 2020 Wingate graduate, Baroniunas was a four-year starter on the offensive line, two-time All-South Atlantic Conference selection, and the SAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in football as a senior. He was also a three-time Academic All-District® honoree, two-year captain, and a semifinalist for the 2019 William V. Campbell Trophy from the National Football Foundation. Wingate won 36 games during his four seasons on the team, the most of any four-year span in program history.

Baroniunas was also a three-year starter at Middle Creek High School in North Carolina. He earned first team all-conference honors each of his last two seasons and was selected to the News and Observer All-Metro First Team after his senior season. The Mustangs advanced to the North Carolina 4AA East Finals twice and captured a pair of conference titles.
