The Lake Forest College volleyball team defeated host Marian University 18-25, 25-15, 25-14, 25-21 Wednesday night. Junior Courtney Faulstick posted a .500 hitting percentage with three aces and four blocks in the match.
Faulstick had six kills with just one hitting error in 10 attempts, helping the Foresters record a .277 hitting percentage on the night. Fellow junior Cori Cooper had a match-high 16 kills and classmate Molly McCloskey finished with 12. Both players added 18 digs and Cooper chipped in with a pair of aces.
Lake Forest junior Tia Rupnik led all players with 30 digs and freshman Brooke Perkins also reached double figures with 11 digs. Freshman Torie Pasiewicz had a team-high 20 assists and sophomore Tori Drasler added 12.
The Foresters raised their record on the season to 8-10 while Marian fell to 6-20.
Lake Forest will resume Midwest Conference play at Ripon College on Saturday. The contest will begin at 1:00 p.m.
