Lake Forest College men's hockey player Jack Lewis was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday after helping lead the Foresters to a pair of victories in three games last week.
Lewis, a senior forward, scored his team-high and NCAA Division III-leading eighth goal of the season in his team's 5-0 win at Aurora University on Tuesday.
Lake Forest hosted and defeated the University of Wisconsin-River Falls 3-2 Friday night and Lewis assisted on all three Forester goals. After setting up linemates Charlie Izaguirre and Bron Loiselle in the first and second period, respectively, he added his career-high third helper of the night on defenseman Mark Esshaki's game-winning power play score at 6:58 in the third.
Lewis closed out his five-point week with an assist in Lake Forest's 5-3 loss to visiting University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the 15th-ranked team in the nation, on Saturday. He is now tied for the NCHA lead in points with 13 on the year.
NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's directors of public relation and sports information. Lewis also earned the award on November 1.
