Lake Forest wide receiver Willie McIntyre caught eight passes for 106 yards and a touchdown but the Foresters fell 27-7 at Ripon College on Saturday.
McIntyre finished the season with a team-high 51 catches, 757 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns. He now ranks ninth in program history with 1,236 career receiving yards and 10th with a dozen touchdown catches.
Forester freshman quarteback Jagan Cleary completed 23 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown. Despite throwing three interceptions on the day, his finished his first year with the third-highest single-season quarterback efficiency rating (127.3) in team history.
Lake Forest sophomore tailback Nikko Italia matched his career-high with 69 rushing yards on 17 attempts Saturday. The rest of the Foresters combined for just 14 yards on nine carries.
Senior linebacker Sean Chapman led the visitors with a career-high 11 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss, in his final collegiate game. Sophomore safety R.J. Pompey also reached double figures and matches his career-high with 10 stops. He had 2.5 tackles for loss and added a pass breakup in the contest. Sophomore linebacker Michael Cole accounted for the Foresters' only turnover of the game, intercepting a pass for the first time in his career in the opening quarter.
Lake Forest finished the game with a season-high nine tackles for loss.
The loss leaves the Foresters with a 4-6 record while Ripon finished 7-3.
