The Forester football team was defeated 35-13 at Carroll University on Saturday. Senior safety Pat Clark led Lake Forest with 10 tackles in the contest.

Clark matched his career-high in tackles for the second time this season, having also made 10 stops in the season opener against Wisconsin Lutheran College. Sophomore cornerback Chase Slagboom was next on the team with eight tackles and senior linebacker Sean Chapman added seven.

The Forester offense was led by senior wide receiver Willie McIntyre, who caught seven passes for 71 yards on the day. Senior quarterback Sean Dickson completed 20 of 38 attempts for 178 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.

The Pioneers scored touchdowns on each of their four possessions in the first half, the last ending with just 21 seconds on the clock. The Foresters had broken up the run by the home team with a touchdown of their own on a 7-yard pass from Dickson to junior wideout Alex Pasiewicz with 1:58 to play in the half. The fifth career touchdown for Pasiewicz capped off a 17-play, 84-yard drive that lasted nearly nine minutes.

The teams traded punts to begin the second half. Lake Forest's second drive of the third quarter began at the Forester 47 and ended with an 8-yard touchdown pass from Dickson to senior wide receiver George Vidas. The extra point attempt failed and the Foresters trailed 28-13 at the halfway mark of the third quarter.

The Pioneers scored the game's final points on a touchdown with 1:43 to play in the game.

The loss dropped the Foresters' record on the season to 1-3 while Carroll improved to 2-2.

Lake Forest will begin Midwest Conference South Division play against Knox College next Saturday. The Foresters' annual Homecoming game will begin at 2:00 p.m.
