The 52-player Stars and Stripes roster for the annual Tazon de Estrellas Division III all-star game was announced on Tuesday and it included seven Forester seniors. In addition, Lake Forest College Head Coach Jim Catanzaro will serve on the squad's coaching staff. The game will be played on December 21 in Monterrey, Mexico.
Lake Forest's seven selections are the most of any of the 27 schools represented and include tight end Greg Alonso, cornerbacks Ed Dobernig and Nick Waters, linebackers John Dillon and Jordan Cruz, and defensive linemen Jake Rotkvich and Michael Garetto-Balmer. Each of the seven players was named First or Second Team All-Midwest Conference after helping lead the team to an 8-2 record in 2013.
