Jim Catanzaro to Coach, Three Foresters to Play in All-American Bowl

Jim Catanzaro to Coach, Three Foresters to Play in All-American Bowl

The 2011 Metrodome All-American Bowl will be played on Saturday, December 17, at Mall of America Field at HHH Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Three Foresters will be playing in the game and Lake Forest College Head Coach Jim Catanzaro will direct one of the all-star game's two teams.

Participating in the game will be Forester seniors Luke Butts, Kevin Davis, and Kenneth Clady Mason.

Butts, a recent Third Team All-West Region selection by D3football.com, led the team with 80 tackles this season and finished his career with 329 tackles, the fourth-highest total in program history. The safety also recorded 10 interceptions, four forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries in his four years at the College.

Davis, a 2011 First Team All-Midwest Conference selection, shattered the single-season school record for receiving yards in a season with 1,286 and tied the mark for receptions with 77. He finished his four seasons ranked among the top three in team history in career receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown catches.

Clady Mason, a 2010 Second Team All-MWC selection, battled through an injury-plagued senior season. He led the team with 3.5 sacks and 9.0 tackles for loss as a junior and his 47 tackles overall were tops among the squad's defensive linemen. He finished his career with 75 tackles, including 11.0 tackles for loss.

Catanzaro just completed his third season as head coach of the Foresters. The team set or tied 26 school records in 2011 alone, including marks for points and offensive yards per game. He will directs the "Stars" team at the All-American Bowl.
