Izzi Visnjevac Named MWC Defensive Performer of the Week

Lake Forest College volleyball player Izzi Visnjevac was named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week on Monday after helping lead her team to a pair of league wins over the weekend.
Visnjevac finished Friday night's grueling 24-26, 27-25, 24-26, 25-18, 15-7 triumph over visiting Monmouth College with a career-high 33 digs, matching the highest total by a Forester in nearly 11 years. The freshman also added a career-best 10 assists and four aces in the contest.
Lake Forest hosted and defeated Knox College 25-14, 25-18, 25-18 on Saturday with Visnjevac racking up another 16 digs to lead all players in the match. She also set up six of her teammates' kills and served up a pair of aces.
Visnjevac now ranks fourth in the conference with 381 digs and sixth with 32 aces on the year.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league office.
